What we're all about

Nietoc qualifiers
Hooray! We're going to NATIONALS! Help support this passionate group of speech students from from Norfolk, Nebraska that works hard to achieve great things. Our success depends on the support of our friends, family and community. On May 12-15, eight members of our team will be competing in Denver at the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions and we are seeking financial support to offset some of our travel expenses. In addition, we have one student who will compete at the NSDA (formerly the NFL) national tournament in June in Salt Lake City, Utah! Please consider donating! THANKS!

  • Meet our eight national qualifiers!

Back Row: Brent, Ethan, Daniel, Adam, and Nick Front: Tanya, Skyler, and Treslyn

  • Our senior is ready to ROCK the NIETOC!

Daniel has enjoyed tremendous success this season! Not only was he the top individual sweepstakes winner at the Lincoln Southwest Silver Talon Tournament, but he was also a state champion in Serious Prose (also known as Dramatic Interpretation)!! With one NIETOC experience already under his belt, he is prepared to make some noise this year in Denver!

  • Good Luck Treslyn and Tanya!

These two stunning juniors are entered in two different individual events at NIETOC! Treslyn is entered in two interpretation events (Dramatic Interp and Poetry), while Tanya is slated to compete in two public speaking events (Original Oratory and Expository Speaking). This will be their first NIETOC experience! Good Luck!!

  • Good luck Ethan!

One of Ethan's best individual tournaments was at Millard West where he claimed 4th place overall in the individual sweeps out of hundreds of competitors! In addition to duet acting, he is also competing with his Humorous Interpretation of "Cuttin' Line" at NIETOC next month! Good Luck!

  • Meet Daniel and Ethan!

This dynamic duo will be taking the "Complete Works of Shakespeare--Abridged" to NIETOC in Denver and competing in Duet Acting. They have enjoyed a ton of success with this piece already this year and hope to advance to "out rounds" at nationals. It's a fast-paced hilarious rendition of several Shakespeare's classic! Both have qualified in their individual events as well.

  • These state champs are heading to NIETOC!

Brent and Skyler have had an amazing season already this year. Winning state was certainly the highlight so far! In addition to competing with their duet "Adam" at NIETOC, Brent will also be competing with a Dramatic Interpretation of "The Tricky Part," and Skyler is entered in Expository Speaking with an informative speech about the peace symbol.

  • Duo Interpretation

These two freshmen qualified for their very first national competition with their duo! They will be performing a cutting from the Murray Schisgal play "Luv." It's a ton of "cheesy" fun!
